West Bay stretches along Grand Cayman's Caribbean-facing coast, where the island's famous translucent waters meet powder-soft sand. Slightly farther north, Seven Mile Beach unfurls in a long arc of white sand and shallow water, its name more aspirational than accurate but its clarity undeniable.

Owen Roberts International Airport lies seven kilometres southeast, a straightforward taxi or rental car journey that deposits arrivals into island warmth within minutes. The roads are smooth, the driving British (left-side), and the scale manageable: this is an island of 63,000 residents, not a sprawling metropolis.

Captain Marvin's marina sits half a kilometre from the property, a jumping-off point for reef dives, deep-sea fishing charters, and sunset sails. Book a morning dive at the USS Kittiwake Shipwreck, two and a half kilometres offshore, where a decommissioned naval vessel rests upright on the seabed, its decks now colonized by parrotfish and barracuda. North Sound Golf Club, just over a kilometre inland, offers play across tropical fairways where iguanas sun themselves between holes.

Seven Mile Beach demands an afternoon: wade into water so clear you can count the ripples in the sand beneath your feet, then settle under a sea grape tree with a rum punch. The Market at the Cricket Grounds, held weekly and six kilometres distant, gathers local vendors selling conch fritters, cassava cakes, and jerk chicken fragrant with Scotch bonnet heat. Barker's National Park, four kilometres east, protects mangrove wetlands where herons stalk the shallows and kayakers glide through silent green tunnels.

Winter months arrive dry and luminous, temperatures hovering in the mid-twenties with trade winds that soften the Caribbean sun. February and March see the least rainfall, the sea glassy and warm, the skies reliably clear for diving and beach days.

Summer heat builds through July and August, pushing past thirty degrees with humidity that clings. Late afternoons bring brief tropical downpours that cool the air and leave the pavement steaming. September and October mark the wettest stretch, when storm systems track across the Caribbean and rain arrives in heavy curtains.

November through early spring offers the ideal window: warm but not oppressive, dry enough for outdoor plans, the water still bath-like and visibility at its peak. The island empties slightly after the winter holidays, leaving beaches quieter and marina slips easier to secure.
