The Dubai outpost upholds this tradition of gracious hospitality in a city that has rewritten itself faster than perhaps anywhere on earth.
The property stands in Umm Hurair, just west of the historic dividing line of Dubai Creek, the waterway that once separated Bur Dubai from Deira and still defines the city's older quarters. Khan Murjan, a recreation of a 14th-century souk, sits barely two hundred metres away, its vaulted corridors filled with carpets, lanterns, and the scent of frankincense. The Creek itself remains the soul of old Dubai, even as glass towers climb skyward in every direction.
