Spring warms quickly, March evenings mild enough for open windows before April's heat sets in properly. By late May, temperatures push past thirty-five degrees and the city adjusts to its summer rhythm: early morning activity, midday retreat, evenings that remain warm well past dark. Monsoon storms roll through July and August, brief downpours that cool the air temporarily and fill arroyos with rushing water.

October through November offers a second window of ideal weather, temperatures dropping back into the twenties as the desert blooms briefly after summer rains.
