If a match is found, it displays a notification with the available perks. You can click through to view full details on luxuryhoteloffers.app, dismiss the notification, or permanently hide notifications for that hotel.

Data the Extension does not collect

The Extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, browsing history, or user activity. Specifically:

  • No names, email addresses, or account credentials are collected.
  • No browsing history or list of visited websites is recorded or sent anywhere.
  • No cookies, analytics, or tracking pixels are used.
  • No data is sold or shared with third parties.
  • No financial, health, or location data is accessed.

Data the Extension accesses locally

The Extension reads the URL of the tab you are currently viewing. This URL is compared locally, within your browser, against a list of supported hotel websites. The URL is never transmitted to any server.

Network requests

The Extension makes a single type of network request: it periodically fetches a static JSON file from https://www.luxuryhoteloffers.app containing publicly available hotel metadata (hotel names, website domains, and perk summaries). This request does not include any user data, cookies, or identifying information. The file is cached locally to reduce network usage.

Local storage

The Extension uses your browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) to:

  • Cache the hotel data file so it does not need to be downloaded on every browser session.
  • Remember which hotels you have chosen to permanently dismiss.

This data never leaves your browser and is not accessible to websites or other extensions.
