The Luxury Hotel Offers browser extension ("the Extension") is published by Luxury Hotel Offers, part of The Uncommon Traveller, based in the Netherlands. This policy explains what the Extension reads, what it stores, and what leaves your device.

In short

Page addresses are checked on your device and never leave it.
The Extension has no account, analytics, tracking, or advertising.
Its only automatic network request downloads the public hotel list.
After you remove the Extension, your browser opens an optional survey hosted by Tally.

What the Extension does

The Extension checks whether the hotel website you are browsing has perks available through Luxury Hotel Offers. If it does, a small notification lists them. You can open the full details on luxuryhoteloffers.app, close the notification, or mute that hotel.

What the Extension reads on your device

When a page loads in any tab, the Extension reads its web address. It compares that address, on your device, with the list of supported hotel websites. A small script on each page shows the notification when there is a match. The Extension does not read page content, forms, or cookies. Page addresses are never stored and never leave your device.

What is stored in your browser

Kept until you remove the Extension:

the hotel list and the date it was last updated
your settings: muted hotels, a pause, and badge-only mode, all listed and resettable in the Extension's popup
for the occasional store rating request: how many notifications have been shown, the install date, and when the request was last shown or dismissed

Kept in memory only and cleared when you close the browser:

which hotels have already shown a notification this session, and when the last one appeared, so the same hotel does not interrupt you twice

None of this is sent anywhere or readable by websites. Removing the Extension deletes it.

Network requests

The Extension periodically checks for an updated public list of hotel names, website addresses and perk summaries from luxuryhoteloffers.app. The request contains no browsing data or identifiers. Links you click open luxuryhoteloffers.app. They carry fixed tags showing that they came from the Extension and which hotel you chose, and never include the page you were on.

Uninstall survey

When you remove the Extension, your browser opens a short, optional survey hosted by Tally (Tally BV, Belgium, EU). The link contains only fixed tags showing that it came from an uninstall. It carries no identifier, hotel or browsing data. Like any website, Tally receives the page request, including your IP address, along with any answers you choose to submit. Answers are used only to improve the Extension and are kept until we delete them. You can close the tab without answering.

Permissions

storage: keeps the hotel list and your settings on your device.
alarms: keeps the hotel list up to date.
tabs: reads the address of pages as they load so they can be checked on your device, and updates the toolbar badge.
Access to luxuryhoteloffers.app: downloads the hotel list.
Script on all websites: shows the notification on supported hotel websites. Your browser describes this as access to all websites. The check happens on your device and nothing is sent.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

The use of information received by the Extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. No data is sold, used for advertising, or read by people.

Your choices

You can reset every setting from the Extension's popup. Removing the Extension deletes everything it stored. To delete a survey response, contact us.
