Spring transforms slowly. March remains unpredictable, but by May the city sheds its grey shell. Trees leaf out along Michigan Avenue, café tables reappear, and Millennium Park fills with runners and office workers taking lunch in the sun. This is the season when Chicago remembers it's beautiful.

Summer is glorious and brief. July and August bring warm, humid days perfect for the beaches that line the lake just north and south of downtown. Fall holds the best light: September and October deliver mild days, golden afternoons, and the kind of weather that makes walking the Loop's streets pure pleasure.
