Summer arrives in May and holds through September, the high season stretching from June to August when temperatures climb into the mid-twenties Celsius and rain disappears entirely. July and August bring peak crowds; June and September offer the same crystalline light with breathing room.

Spring and autumn frame the season with softer edges. April and October see daytime temperatures in the high teens, warm enough for coastal walks but cool after sunset. The island greens briefly in spring before the summer sun bleaches the hillsides.
